Choosing to help create opportunities on Team Canada.

Rooted in Calgary

My family immigrated from India to Canada in 2003. My parents didn’t have the opportunity to pursue higher education, but their perseverance gave me the chance to pursue mine.

I completed two degrees and dedicated one to each parent. It was my way of honouring the sacrifices they made and the opportunities they helped create.

Teachers, peers and members of our community helped turn that ambition into reality. Their support shaped how I think about opportunity: something we receive, but also something we can help create for others.

Shaped by Silicon Valley

Studying computer science and business opened a path to Silicon Valley. I worked across AI product operations, retail systems and frontier research, including direct collaboration with Ashish Vaswani at Essential AI. NVIDIA later acquired the team. Vaswani co-created the Transformer architecture that underpins much of modern AI.

To my knowledge, I was the first University of Calgary graduate to move directly into a Silicon Valley AI product role after graduation. That experience shaped what I hope to contribute at home.

Choosing to build at home

Silicon Valley offered exciting work and opportunities to keep growing. I could have stayed. But as AI was accelerating, I chose to leave and return to Calgary.

For me, that meant taking the less certain path and betting on myself. I wanted to bring what I’d learned home, help Canadian organizations build their capabilities and create opportunities here.

I wanted to do more than follow opportunity. I wanted to help create it at home.

That’s what being on Team Canada means to me.

Creating opportunities together

I want to help Canadian organizations grow while helping people become more capable and do more meaningful work. That might start with a first AI initiative, a stronger deployment or a conversation that makes the possibilities clearer.
